Pipeline flow switching system

A pipeline was built to transport petrol between Sydney and Newcastle. This pipline had a monitoring system for checking the the grade and flow of petroleum along a pipe, as well as simple monitoring and control at the terminus.

A very simple system mainly responsible for determining fluid density in order to specify which of the holding tank the liquid should be placed. Multiple grades of fuel were pumped along this pipeline and thus there was tanks for Grade A and Grade B with a change over tank to store that fluid that may be a mixture of both.
